Group tourism: Please contact any tourism agency approved by the China National Tourism Authority.
Individual Tourism Visa
Eligibility:
* Tourism trip
* Visit relatives and/or friends
* Unpaid participation in athletic or artistic event or competition.
* Unpaid participation in a scientific seminar or conference sponsored by a research or academic institution.
Paid or unpaid employment of tourists in Brazil is strictly prohibited.
Requirements:
- Applicant passport, valid for no less than six months from the date of expiration. The passport must have at least 3 blank visa pages;
- One recent individual passport-sized photograph, full frontal, white background.
- One visa application form, duly filled out, signed by the applicant (parents must sign for minors under 18 years old). The application form can be filled out on the site https://scedv.serpro.gov.br/frscedv and must be printed out, on sheet size A4.
- Proof of residence in the area of jurisdiction of the Consulate General, if the applicant’s passport has been issued elsewhere in China.
- Print out of itinerary or letter from travel agent/airline, confirming booking of round-trip, including dates of departure and return from Brazil.
- Hotel reservation in Brazil.
- Proof of means of support during the applicant’s stay in Brazil:
* Bank and/or credit card statements for the last three months;
* Evidence of applicant’s employment and leave.
- If the applicant is a student/ a minor: the proof of means of support during the applicants stay in Brazil must be presented by his/her parents.
- If the applicant is retired: proof of retirement and/or pension payment slip.
- If the applicant’s is visiting friends or family in Brazil: a notarized letter from the sponsor in Brazil, with detailed information on documents and address of the sponsor, as well as information on the address where the applicant will stay in Brazil, if not in a hotel.
- Whenever applicable (i.e., for participants in athletic competitions, performing arts events, conferences or seminars): copy of letter from sponsor/organizer providing specific information on the activity to be performed and location and duration of the activity/event. The letter must state that the participant will not receive payment and that no tickets will be sold for the event.
Special requirements for minors:
- The original birth certificate and a copy. Copies presented without the original birth certificate must be notarized.
- A notarized letter of consent, signed by the parent not traveling with the minor, or by both parents, if the minor is traveling alone (if the minor is traveling with both parents this letter is not necessary if all names appear on the itinerary and both parents are applying for the visa at the same time).
NOTE: The requirements listed above should not, in any way, be considered all-inclusive. The Consulate General may request additional information, as deemed necessary.
NOTE: Please do not purchase an air ticket before a visa has been successfully granted, if purchase and subsequent cancellation could result in financial loss.
