Please read carefully the General Rules on Visas.
Eligibility:
* Business meetings to discuss sales or purchase of goods and services; to close an export or import deal; to evaluate ongoing operation or existent contract; to explore investment opportunities, relocation, outsourcing.
Please be advised that if the trip involves the provision of services, such as technical assistance, installation, maintenance or repair of equipment, a Work Visa (VITEM-V) is required.
* Participant/exhibitor in a workshop or trade/industrial exhibition.
* Journalists (non correspondents, ie, on a short term visit).
* Media coverage and/or film making.
* Flight/ship crew members without an international crew card, except if working on ship operating offshore, in which case a VITEM-V is mandatory.
Please note: Business visa holders are not allowed to engage in any activity under employment contract with a Brazilian organization/corporation or provide technical assistance services (such as installation, service and/or repair of equipment), in which case a Work Visa (VITEM V) is mandatory.
Requirements:
- Applicant’s passport, valid for no less than six months from the date of expiration. The passport must have at least three blank pages.
- One recent individual passport-sized photograph, full frontal, white background.
- One visa application form, duly filled out, signed by the applicant (parents must sign for minors under 18 years old). The application form can be filled out on the site https://scedv.serpro.gov.br/frscedv and must be printed out, on sheet size A4.
- Proof of residence in the area of jurisdiction of the Consulate General, if the applicant’s passport has been issued elsewhere in China.
- Original invitation letter from a Brazilian company, on their letterhead or stationary, with CNPJ number (tax registration code), address and telephone, signed by a senior manager, addressed to the Consulate General in Shanghai, attesting that the applicant’s trip to Brazil is of a short-term nature, and that the goal of the trip is strictly for business meetings, not involving any technical assistance.
- Original letter from the employer or sponsoring company in China, on the company’s letterhead or stationary, stating employee’s name and title, how long he has been working with the company, contact in Brazil, description of the job to be conducted Brazil, and assuring that the employee will not perform any technical work nor will be paid in Brazil, assuming full responsibility for the applicant while in Brazil and that the applicant will not exceed the legally authorized stay per visit. The letter must be signed by a senior manager and his/her name and title must be transcribed in Pinyin. (NOTE: if the applicant is self-employed, he must also present a copy of the company certificate).
- Commercial,documentary or publicity filming requires a special authorization from the Brazilian National Cinema Agency (ANCINE) , to be obtained directly by a Brazilian partner/co-producer. Once ANCINE’s approval to film is granted, the relevant authorization is relayed to the Consulate General in the applicant’s country of residence, either by ANCINE itself or by the Brazilian co-producer. Upon receipt of the authorization and presentation of the applicant’s passport, together with the application form, the Consulate General will issue the visa.
NOTE: The requirements listed above should not, in any way, be considered all-inclusive. The Consulate General may request additional information, as deemed necessary.
